How To Play Klondike Solitaire
Klondike Solitaire is also known as Patience and Solitaire.
- Tableau: 7 columns with cards dealt (top card face-up)
- Stock: Remaining cards in deck
- Waste: Where drawn cards go
- Foundations: Build up from Ace to King by suit
- Build Tableau: Build down by alternating colors
Rules
- Tableau: Build down by alternating colors (red on black)
- Foundations: Build up by suit starting with Ace
- Move Sequences: Can move groups of cards together
- Empty Columns: Only Kings can fill empty columns
- Stock: Draw 1 (default) card, but only top card is playable
- Recycle: Can go through stock multiple times
Strategy
- Expose Face-Down: Priority is revealing hidden cards
- Build Foundations: Don't rush - keep cards accessible
- Color Balance: Keep both colors available in tableau
- Stock Management: Remember stock cards for planning
